Eat With Mellow shares cozy, everyday banana recipes to make your kitchen a little warmer. This page explains the limits of what we share, so you can cook with confidence.
1. General information only
Everything on https://eatwithmellow.com (the “Site”) is for general information and home cooking inspiration. It is not medical, nutritional, dietary or professional advice. If you have a health condition, follow a special diet, are pregnant, or are feeding a baby or young child, please talk to a doctor, registered dietitian or pediatrician before making changes to what you eat.
2. Recipe results may vary
Every recipe is tested in a real home kitchen before it’s published. Still, ovens, altitude, humidity, pan sizes, brands and the ripeness of your bananas all affect the result. Baking times and temperatures are guidelines. Always check for doneness and trust your own judgment.
3. Nutrition information
Nutrition facts shown in our recipe cards are estimates, calculated automatically with a nutrition database based on the ingredients listed. Actual values depend on the brands you use, exact quantities, substitutions and serving sizes. Please don’t rely on them if you need exact numbers for a medical reason. Check with a doctor or registered dietitian instead.
4. Allergies and dietary labels
Our recipes may contain or come into contact with common allergens, including wheat, gluten, eggs, milk, peanuts, tree nuts and soy. Always read the labels on your ingredients.
Labels like “gluten-free,” “vegan,” “dairy-free” or “nut-free” describe the recipe as written. Whether your finished dish meets that label depends on the products you choose. For example, oats are naturally gluten-free but are often processed alongside wheat, so use oats labeled certified gluten-free if you need them to be. If you have a serious allergy or celiac disease, take extra care with every ingredient.
5. Food safety
- Don’t eat raw batter or dough made with raw eggs or untreated flour.
- Wash your hands, tools and surfaces, and keep raw and ready-to-eat foods apart.
- Storage times in our posts are general guidelines. Always check food before eating it, and when in doubt, throw it out.
- Be careful with hot ovens, pans, blenders and sharp tools.
6. Baby and toddler recipes
Some of our recipes are made for little ones, such as banana pancakes and snacks for babies. They are written for parents and caregivers, and they are not a substitute for advice from your pediatrician.
- Talk to your pediatrician before starting solid foods, usually around 6 months of age, and before introducing common allergens such as eggs, peanuts or tree nuts.
- Never give honey to babies under 12 months old.
- Avoid choking hazards: no whole nuts, whole grapes or hard chunks. Cut food into a safe shape and size for your child’s age and stage, and spread nut butters thinly.
- Always supervise your child while eating, seated upright.
- Check the temperature of warm food before serving.
- Every child is different. Watch for signs of allergy and stop if anything seems off.
7. Protein powders and supplements
Some recipes include protein powder or other supplements. These products vary widely in ingredients and quality. Follow the instructions on the label, and check with your doctor if you have health concerns. We do not make any health claims about these products.
8. About our recipes and photos
Every recipe on Eat With Mellow is tested in a real home kitchen before it goes on the blog. To show you what the finished dish looks like, some of the photos on the Site are created or enhanced with digital tools, including AI image tools. We do our best to make them a faithful picture of the recipe, but your bake may look a little different, and that’s completely fine. Homemade is supposed to look homemade.
9. Affiliate links
Some posts contain affiliate links, which means we may earn a small commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Read our full Affiliate Disclosure.
10. Errors and updates
We do our best to keep every recipe accurate, but mistakes can happen. If you spot one, please let us know at hello@eatwithmellow.com and we’ll fix it. We may update or change content at any time without notice.
11. Limitation of liability
By using the Site, you agree that Eat With Mellow and its operator are not responsible for any outcome from using our recipes or information, including allergic reactions, illness, injury, damage or loss. Please cook responsibly and use your own judgment. See our Terms of Use for more details.
